* Q:/ WHEN SHALL I START BOOKING FOR MY THEORY TEST?

* A:/ Give yourself at least a month to practice with the questions and answers as well as the hazard perception test  which is part of the same exam, all done on the same day.

* Q:/ WHAT IS CURRENT PROVISIONAL LICENSE CONDITIONS?

* A:/ As a provisional licence holder your vehicle must show L-plates (D-plates in wales) at the front and rear. You must have a qualified driver with you who is at least 21 years of age and who has held a full licence in that category for at least three years. You are not allowed to drive on a motorway unless you are learner lorry or bus driver or learning to drive a car and trailer (B+E) category.

* Q:/ HOW MANY LESSONS MUST I HAVE BEFORE I CAN SIT MY PRACTICAL TEST?

* A:/ There is no set number of driving lessons you must have before sitting your practical test. Howeve, those who their driving test had had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training, combined with 22 hours of private practice. Candidates who combine professional instruction with private practice are also more successful on the test. this is according latest research. 

* Q:/  WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO TAKE TO THE PRACTICAL TEST?

* A:/ You will need to take your photocard licence and paper counterpart to the test centre. if you have an old-style paper licence you will also need to take a suitable form of photographic identity (passport, employer's identity card, student union card, trade union card, school buss pass, a card issued in connection with purchasing rail tickets or a photograph with has been endorsed wit a certificate in the prescribed form signed by an acceptable person). It is also advisable to take your theory test certificate and CBT certificate, if applicable, to the driving test centre.

* Q:/  WHAT IF I CAN'T FIND MY DRIVING LICENCE AND MY CAR THEORY TEST IS DUE?

* A:/ You need to obtain a Certificate of Entitlement to Drive (D441) from either a local Vehicle Registration Office or direct from te DVLA. This can be sent to your home address of emailed to the driving thest centre if time is short. Additional photographic identification is required if a D441 is presented instead of a licence.
